Poor Poor Democrats
To the editor:
I have never been more entertained than in any other time in my life. Watching how Democrats and how the so called fair-minded and objective Clock reacted to the re-election of President Bush has been something to watch and enjoy. I enjoy listening to incompetent Democrats around campus talk about how this time around the election was not stolen because President Bush actually won the popular vote. These so called informed voters must have thought that Clinton won the popular vote both times he won election. Nope. Good grades in history won't appear on their transcripts. Clinton won both times without the popular vote so therefore based on incompetent Democrats around campus, Clinton's election to two terms must not be legit either. I enjoy hearing Democrats talk about leaving the country rather than staying in the country and standing up for what they supposedly believe in. This kind of statement proves how much liberal college students really don't know about America. If they would put their box of tissues down for once and actually think about things they would realize that true Americans stay in America and continue to fight for the values they believe in. Marin Luther King didn't run away or put his head down when he was fighting for the rights of African Americans. But if Democrats want to move to Canada out of fear of a not so likely military draft or because they just don't like our great American president, please do. Our newspapers and political discussions around campus would benefit a great deal from separating those who genuinely care about their country from those who talk just to listen to themselves speak or to fit in with the majority.
And finally, I thought about refuting everything I read in the clock editorial page after the election but decided not to. One reason is because they continue to have a hard time backing up their accusations with facts. They wrote an angry editorial because they failed to elect John Kerry just like Michael Moore and Mr. Soros failed. The Clock staff and students around campus should just accept the fact that their so called new ideas did not win this time and America did not want to be pointed in the wrong direction with failed Democratic policies.
Sincerely,
Nathan Morin
