Your Vote, Your Voice, Use It
On November 2, you and the other students at PSU will choose the next leader of the free world. In 2000, George Bush won New Hampshire by 7,211 votes, less than the population of Plymouth. He won Florida by 537 votes, less than the population of the student apartments. Either state could have kept Bush in Texas, where he belongs. The election is closer today than it was four years ago, making it vital for every student to vote. House Speaker Gene Chandler, who has admitted to taking illegal campaign money, has said that New Hampshire college students have no right to vote. Men and women have taken bullets so you could vote, so do it. Tell Gene Chandler he belongs in Havana, where the weather is sunny and there are no elections to worry about. You can register at the polls, so bring some ID. No matter what you are told, you can't be punished for exercising your most basic right. I call on professors to excuse students who want to vote, either here in Plymouth or in their home towns. I call on PSU to send the shuttles to the polls on voting day, so students don't have to walk. If we give him another four years, George Bush and his wars of choice will have created a million Osama Bin Ladens. Vote for hope. Vote in defiance. Just vote!
Sincerely,Michael Davidson Jr536-4058
