Bush's Record
Bush Says He Will Stand on His Record.OK, students, I'm a teacher. Let's start with the shortest list. His record on crime.
Issue#1- CrimeDrunk driving, 30 day license suspension 1976.Military AWOL from Air National Guard.Refused to take drug test in Natl Guard.Bankrupted his oil company, yet sold stock first.Took land using taxpayer money for Texas Rangers. Most executions by any governor in US history.First President to enter office with criminal record.Lied about reasons to attack Iraq.Appointed most convicted criminals of any President in history.Failed to intervene in oil industry corruption.Broke more international treaties than any President in history.First President to engage in unprovoked, preemptive war and occupation(over protests of most Americans, UN, and world).Withdrew USA from World Court of Law.Refused inspection of detainees; refused to abide by Geneva Convention.Refused UN Election Inspectors.Broke record for most corporate campaign donations(largest from Ken Lay of Enron).Presided over largest corporate bankruptcy fraud in History (Enron)Used Enron jets and corporate attorneys in Supreme Court Election decision.Protected Enron and Halliburton from investigation and prosecution.Changed policy to allow convicted criminals to get gov't contracts.Sealed his records as governor from public view.Sealed his records for SEC insider trading for bankrupt oil companies.Sealed his and Cheney's secret meetings for public energy policy.Used connections with a 527 to smear Kerry.Wants a new kind of nuclear bomb; I consider this criminal.
There is more. Can't list it all here! I haven't mentioned Ashcroft. I got tired. You get the point for this one issue. His record on other issues (like the environment) are even more "impressive". See this space for second of 9 more issues. On all other issues he is worse than on crime. There will be a test. You'd better vote. UNH '62; Marlborough Native
