Fat Orange Cat
To the Clock:
For all of you folks living in the student apartments, feeding and loving this orange cat, please find him a real home, where he isn't outside where he can catch diseases that will kill him, or be torn apart by roving dogs or wild animals, or hit by a car. If this kitty is that loving, he needs to be off the streets. Please take him to a no-kill facility (if there is one) or put up ads to get him a wonderful home. He will eventually go "wild", and will not allow people near him - especially if he is abused by someone. When you leave in May, where will he go?
I speak from experience here - I almost got kicked out of Mary Lyon when I was a junior because I had taken in a stray black cat (who just happened to be pregnant)that a Kappa Sig girl had tossed out on the street. I finally got her into Fox Park apts with my roommate's fiance, where she had her kittens and we found homes for all of them.
Please, please find this baby a nice home. Homeless cats (and dogs)are a real burden on the environment - they are not capable of surviving on their own because they have been domesticated. Let's face it, we wouldn't be happy with fleas, worms, mange, etc. if we had nowhere to live. All this cat wants is a loving home. Please find him one.
