Stay Informed By Subscribing To Texts From Ticket To Work
(NAPSI)—Getting a job may not be as difficult as some people fear thanks to innovative efforts by a government agency.
For example, on July 15, 2020, Social Security launched a campaign to inform the public about the Ticket to Work (Ticket) Program. The Ticket Program supports career development for people ages 18 through 64 who get Social Security disability benefits (SSI/SSDI) and want to work. This free and voluntary program helps people with disabilities move toward financial independence by connecting them with the services and support they need to succeed in the workforce.
Anyone can opt in to get text messages with the most up-to-date information about the Ticket Program. Each month, those who choose to opt in will receive useful and timely advice, encouragement and stories about people who met their employment goals and achieved financial independence with the help of the Ticket Program.
To sign up for the text messages, text TICKET to 474747 (standard messaging rates may apply). Then, Social Security will send you the latest news from the Choose Work! Blog, information about upcoming events, identify the next steps you can take on your path to employment, and more. You can opt out of text messaging at any time.
Ready to take the next step?
